Sen. Alexander quotes George Romney

Read or listen to United States Senator - Lamar Alexander R-Tennessee as he quotes George Romney.  Sen. Alexander spoke today in the Senate on American Universities…

American higher education is by far the best in the world. Nobody has anything to compare it with. Nothing is more vulnerable than entrenched success. The “Big Three” didn’t create small cars in the 1960s and 1970s, but …

Mitt Romney VP Speculation

There is a lot of speculation on John McCain’s VP running mate.  According to the Politico Mitt Romney - former Governor of Massachusetts and Michigan native - tops McCain’s veep list at this point in time.  Mitt Romney, one of Sen. John McCain’s VP options, would balance McCain’s ticket by bringing business experience, organizational leadership and state government experience, deep Michigan roots, fundraising [money, money, money], and an ability to bring Western states (NV and CO) and Great Lake states into play come election day.
Surprising many Republican insiders, Mitt Romney …

A McCain vs Obama mano-a-mano at the National Association of Latino Elected Officials

I was listening to NPR over the weekend and happened to hear a story on McCain’s and Obama’s address at NALEO’s 25th’s Annual Conference.  Our very own RNHA chairperson was quoted for the story.
[McCain]’s probably the best person we could have put out there in terms of the party to run for president in 2008 …[McCain]’s a friend to the Hispanic community.
No doubt both candidates have their work cut out to win over the Latino vote.  At any rate, the full audio story is available by clicking here [here].

McCrain Strategy Briefing

Interesting material as the McCain campaign gears up for a good fight… From the Politico:
Charlie Black, a McCain senior adviser who is among the best-known figures in Republican politics, said he expects Obama will “probably get a record bounce” now that he has clinched his party’s nomination.
“His nomination is historic, and he’s going to get incredibly favorable press for a week or maybe two,” Black said. “As long as we’re out there and we are getting covered and we’re drawing differences on issues, which is a big part of our …
